Giris, today I realized you were frozen in time, in my mind. The last time I saw you, about 30 years ago in London, you drove my very young son and I to the park, we had tea. I always thought we would have tea again, you know, to talk about events, unfolding's, stuff. You have a special place in my heart as does Narayani and Amari. What a larger than life character we had among us. *A memory: a bunch of us from the London centre, were out for a walk with you, a cold winters day, about 40 years ago ... in another park, in London ... someone out walking threw a ball for their dog and it went into the large pond .... you told us all to hold hands and form a chain, you trusted us and leaned right over the icy water, you stretched us to our capacity, it seemed impossible to hold you and your barely reached the ball, to return to the dog ... that was kind. That is how I will choose to remember you ... reaching, for something to return to an-other. That's where the light gets in. When it thunders and gets blustery I will think of you, and I will smile, eventually. With love, Padma
