Giris wore many spiritual hats. He participated with respect and devotion in all religious rites. He was perhaps the only jewish descendent to be given the role of godfather in a Catholic church ceremony. Isolina, Gauri’s mother, insisted that her parish priest register Girish Rabinovitch, even though he didn’t belong to a Catholic parish, as godfather to her grandaughter Lila Eckardt Agulla.  
Giris participated in the church baptism of his giddaughter with deep respect. We will always cherish Giris’ ecumenical love. May his example guide us!
